Uli Metzger's Kalkstein Riesling is a wonderful and crisp "every-day" Riesling with a noticeable fruity note. The vines thrive on selected plots of the Sonnenberg. There are mainly limestone soils there, which give the wine a delicate minerality. In the taste of this great Riesling we find apricot, green apple and floral notes. This wine with an elegant and stimulating acidity is exactly how you imagine a good Riesling to be. It is a good accompaniment to sushi, fish dishes but also vegetarian dishes.
